Laura Inglis is a Social Worker and the founder of Serenity Hope Counseling, PLLC. In 2007, she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Pacific Lutheran University. The following year, 2008, Laura graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from Walla Walla University. In August 2011, Laura became a Washington State licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). As of 2023, Laura also is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Idaho.
Laura provides counseling for teens up to retirement aged adults. She has spent the past several years working with people who struggle with depression and/or anxiety, suicidal thoughts, have experienced domestic violence, people who want help resolving conflict in their relationships, and marriage counseling. Laura’s goal in her practice is to partner with you and walk along with you on the journey to new methods of coping and communication skills, learning boundary setting, and discovering your own strengths as you move forward and grow towards your personal goals.
As well as founding Serenity Hope Counseling, PLLC, Laura has worked as a mental health clinician in community mental health agencies and in hospital emergency rooms providing services such as mental health evaluations and diagnoses, crisis intervention therapy, individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as case management services. Laura’s areas of expertise include working with people in crisis, survivors of domestic violence, assisting with conflict resolution, and faith-based counseling. Laura is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
Laura established Serenity Hope Counseling, PLLC in 2013 in rural Washington to provide much needed services to an often neglected community. As of Spring 2020, she now provides services for the entire state of Washington through Telehealth. As of 2023, Laura provides these same services in the state of Idaho.
